What is Personal Training?

Personal training is the delivery and supervision of specific exercises by a qualified professional to a client. Arranged by the Personal Trainer, the exercises are selected and organised to achieve a desired outcome. For example increase aerobic fitness, improve muscle strength, lose weight, feel healthier, combat stress and improve flexibility to name a few.

Why might I require Personal Training?

People employ Personal Trainers for a variety of reasons. Some people may lack the knowledge to design and progress a fitness program. Some may find it difficult to motivate themselves to exercise and may just need that helping hand, advice and encouragement. Some people may be getting over an injury and require sport specific rehabilitation type exercises.

Where can my Personal Training session take place?

If you have space, Personal Training can happen at your home or alternatively at The Studio in Warwick. They can also occur in various parks in Leamington Spa, Kenilworth or Stratford-upon-Avon, weather permitting.

What is the process for undertaking Personal Training?

Following your initial contact with me, we’ll meet to discuss your aims and goals and go through a health and fitness questionnaire. This is to make sure that you are okay to exercise and at what level. After this, your initial program will be written and presented to you during your first session. Subsequent sessions will be written based on your goals and progress. Also during your first and second session you have the opportunity to have body measurements taken such as height, weight and body fat for example to monitor progress.

How long is a training session?

Training sessions are generally 60 minutes in duration but can be extended.

How many sessions per week should I have?

That would depend on your purse, level of motivation, exercise knowledge and level of commitment.

To meet to discuss a fitter and healthier you, just email, text or phone.
Happy training.
